Hello, dear readers and fellow adventurers,
If you’ve noticed a subtle yet significant change, you’re not mistaken. The blog you’ve come to know as “The Empty Nesters’ Travels” has now been renamed to “The Empty Nester’s Travels.” Yes, it’s now singular. Let me explain.
As of recently, my partner and I have decided to part ways. Before our Utah trip, we felt it was time to start new chapters in our lives separately. The trip to Utah was a mix of beautiful landscapes and awkward moments, peppered with disagreements that underscored our decision. We shared a tent, worked together when needed, but mostly kept our distance. Out of the entire journey, we took just one photo together, and even that was at someone else’s insistence. The forced smiles in the photo say it all. I had our G Adventures CEO jump in to make it a little less awkward.
Upon returning home, we initiated divorce proceedings and have since officially separated and begun living apart. I’ve moved into an RV and am embracing this new phase of life on my own terms.
The blog will still feature our past travels together, preserving those memories and experiences. However, moving forward, it will reflect my solo adventures, journeys with friends, family, or whoever joins me on the road.
I’m excited to share that my next adventure will be to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons next month to celebrate my birthday. Stay tuned for fresh stories and updates from these iconic landscapes!
Thank you for your support and understanding during this transition. Here’s to new beginnings and endless adventures.
